At the heart of The Mandt System® is a simple promise: we support people, not just their behaviours™. We believe that every person deserves to say, “In this place, and with these people, I feel safe.” That belief guides everything we do.

Our training is built on relationships. Safety isn’t just about what happens in a crisis—it’s about trust, communication, and treating everyone with dignity and respect. We teach staff how to notice the early signs of distress, respond calmly and compassionately, and ensure safety for all when a situation escalates. Our goal is always the same: create environments that foster healthy relationships, reduce the risk of violent behaviours, and maintain safety for all team members and those they serve.

In Australia, this philosophy lives inside a specific legal and cultural framework. We align our work with the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013, which places positive behaviour support and the reduction of restrictive practices at the centre of disability services. We also reflect the Work Health and Safety laws that operate across every state and territory, helping organisations meet their duty of care around psychosocial hazards, aggression, and violence. And because safety is inseparable from rights, our approach honours legislation like the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006, the ACT Human Rights Act 2004, the Queensland Human Rights Act 2019, and Australia’s national anti-discrimination protections.

The Training Faculty is able to draw upon the skills, knowledge and experience of a diverse body of For aged care providers, our programs support compliance with the Aged Care Act 1997 and the Aged Care Quality Standards, while preparing organisations for the strengthened Quality Standards commencing 1 November 2025. In hospitals, schools, and community services, we tailor our training to the relevant health, education, guardianship, and child protection laws in each state and territory.

The Mandt System goes beyond our training programs. We strive to help you create a culture where dignity comes first, restrictive practices are the last resort, and every person—staff, participants, students, clients, or residents—can feel respected, supported, and safe. That is what Mandt is all about, and that is what we are proud to bring to Australia.
